Delightfully Deceitful Episode 7 Recap/Review: Yoon Park Chases Around Jeokmok Kids

Delightfully Deceitful Episode 7

Delightfully Deceitful Episode 7 reveals why Ro-um (Chun Woo-hee) was framed for her parent’s death and who could be behind everything. The episode has a runtime of about 60 minutes.

By leaking the conversation with his client Ye Chung-sik, a disciplinary meeting was called to judge Han Moo-young’s actions & motives. In the meeting, he reveals his hypersensitivity syndrome and explains that he did it to get justice for Ro-um, who was stuck in prison on false charges. The committee, therefore, suspends him for 3 months, considering he had no ill motives.

He then gives the adopted boy’s insurance money to lawyer Ryu Jae-hyeok, so that he can give it to the mother who lost her son. He questions Moo-young (Kim Dong-wook) if he is doing anything illegal & how did he get all the money. But he gives an ambiguous answer.

On the other side, Da-jung tells Ro-um that it’s a bad idea to involve Moo-young, considering they also scammed his father and are the reason behind his broken family. However, Ro-um snaps back and says that if she doesn’t want to hurt him again, then don’t tell him all that.

Even though she acts cold and indifferent, Ro-um also feels guilty for what she had to do in the past. Maybe because of that, she voluntarily tells Moo-young all the important details about her past. She reveals how she was planning to go back home & leave the foundation for good. At the same time, Director An Chae-hong accidentally got to know the real identity of the President, who runs everything. This put his life in danger & thus he decides to run away, along with Ro-um.

Chae-hong used to keep a record of every transaction or thing they did for others, as a way of safe keep & to use if anything goes wrong. He asks Ro-um to get everything that’s important & get passports ready as they will instantly fly out to another country. He also tells his wife Jang Kyung-ja to come with him, but she was hesitant as she was in love with another man. He was the first Jeokmok kid named Jay. Ro-um knew about it & tried to get her own ticket out of everything by making a deal with Kyung-ja to get her the bag that her husband brought, along with a red diary that contains evidence about the President’s identity.

But Ro-um was framed for her parent’s death instead and all the evidence with the diary was hidden by Kyung-ja in Hyemyung hotel. That was their next plan, to steal everything from the VIP vault in the hotel & get to know about the President’s identity. Everyone was assigned their specific role in the operation & Moo-young was tasked with helping in hacking Kyung-ja’s phone by meeting her. It turns out that Kyung-ja is a step ahead of them as well & made sure to get everything on Moo-young before meeting him.

The operation was set in motion without much trouble until Yo-han (Yoon Park) lands at the comic book store & threatens them to confess what they are up to. He is even seen making summons for all the Jeokmok kids beforehand as if he is aware that he will catch them red-handed. At this point, it’s not revealed why he is so much interested in the Jeokmok kids but it’s certain that he has some ill-fated connection with them.

Delightfully Deceitful Episode 7 Review

The character of Yo-han is quite a mystery, even after 6 episodes. He could either become the antagonist of Ro-um’s revenge plan or join hands with her to reveal the foundation’s secrets. He could be actually linked to the foundation as well and might uncover something unknown about his family as well. On the bright side, it looks like both Moo-young and Ro-um are finding some solace in each other’s company.
