Single’s Inferno Season 5 wrapped its anticipated finale this week, with five couples choosing each other. For the first time ever, the show has filmed a full reunion to spill the tea on their real-life relationship status. While they have filmed the cast reaction in previous seasons, it was usually released on Netflix Korea’s YouTube channel.

This time, Single’s Inferno has leveled up with a 6-episode reunion series released on Netflix, featuring the cast’s reactions to their journey in the Inferno and a brief get-together with everyone. The reunion was filmed a month before the show aired, giving the cast an idea of what kind of viewer reactions to expect.

But what most viewers want to know is whether the final couples are still seeing each other in real life. Although internet sleuths have been digging for clues on the cast’s social media profiles, rather than believing speculations, it’s better to hear it straight from those involved.

Which Single’s Inferno Season 5 Couples are still together?

1) Kim Min-gee and Song Seung-il

Throughout Single’s Inferno season 5, Min-gee and Seung-il showed interest in each other and eventually walked out holding hands. However, in the reunion series, Min-gee revealed that they lost contact after the show ended. She implied that Seung-il cut her off, and she didn’t pursue it further. She called the situation complicated and clarified that they never dated in real life. Seung-il didn’t address it directly but expressed regret over not being more open and expressive with Min-gee during the show.

Even during the group get-together, Min-gee kept her distance from Seung-il. In fact, she used the opportunity to clear the air with Choi Mina Sue and share her perspective. They both apologized for hurting each other with their words.

2) Park Hee-sun and Lim Su-been

Even before they revealed their relationship status, Hee-sun and Su-been seemed close and friendly while watching the clips. In individual interviews, Su-been said that after the show, they went on at least five dates before Hee-sun returned to the US after a month. He shared anecdotes about rushing to her home together due to her strict curfew.

Hee-sun revealed that while in the US, their communication fizzled out a bit, but they reconnected soon after and have been dating. She even returned to Korea just a week before the reunion and will study as an exchange student at Seoul National University. Since it’s only been 6-7 months after the show ended, they seem to be taking their time to date.

During the whole cast’s get-together, Seung-hun shared a story about meeting up with Hee-sun and mutual friends in New York. He joked about Hee-sun being a heavy drinker, which made things a bit awkward between Su-been and Hee-sun, as they apparently weren’t in contact at the time. It prompted Hee-sun to be more open with Su-been about gaps in communication, and long distance made her unsure of his feelings. She said she wants them to be more open with each other, and Su-been readily agreed.

3) Choi Mina Sue and Lee Seung-hun

Even after Single’s Inferno ended, Mina Sue and Seung-hun kept in contact. However, with Mina in Chicago and Seung-hun in New York, they could not meet up. Mina Sue said she deliberately did not pursue a relationship as it would remind her of her time in the show, which she wanted to avoid. They are on friendly terms but not dating.

While catching up with other cast members, Mina discussed her ‘villainous’ appearance on the show and worried about how viewers would perceive her. Other female contestants tried to comfort her, noting that they had all done or said some out-of-pocket things too, and the whole cast knew there was no ill intent from Mina.

4) Lee Joo-young and Kim Jae-jin

Just like their journey on Single’s Inferno, Joo-young and Jae-jin seem to be taking things at their own pace. According to Joo-young, they went on an ice-cream date right after the show and have been visiting each other’s events or exhibitions. They didn’t say it explicitly, but both hinted that they are dating and getting to know each other slowly. During meet up, they kept close to each other, and others treated them as a couple.

5) Kim Go-eun, Woo Sung-min, and Jo I-geon

The cast was divided into three groups and was shown the clips of people present there only. One of the group included Go-eun and the men who pursued her. Although she chose Sung-min in the end, while watching the clips, it was clear they were not dating – Sung-min kept on talking about her chemistry with I-geon and questioned why he was even chosen.

During the individual interview, Go-eun said that she kept in contact with Sung-min after the show. But after the new season was announced publicly, her identity as a contestant was revealed. If she had gone on dates with Sung-min, her final choice could have been spoiled before the show’s release, and they couldn’t just date at each other’s places. She felt that they were too similar and might get into fights. Thus, they remained on friendly terms but didn’t date.

However, after watching her time on the show, Go-eun regretted not approaching I-geon more, and vice versa. They decided to have dinner after the shoot, as I-geon could not join the get-together due to his schedule. They seemed to have feelings for each other, especially I-geon, but were hesitant to pursue further due to some reason. Possibly because of their mutual friends, but they expressed that both of them were having a hard time accepting each other’s feelings, and questioned whether they were being sincere or not.

About other Single’s Inferno cast members

Among the rest of the cast members (Lee Ha-eun, Ham Ye-jin, Youn Hyun-jae, Shin Hyeon-woo), Hyun-jae received a fair amount of screen time and seemed content. Ham Ye-jin regretted not approaching people more and having conversations with those who did.

While Lee Ha-eun felt like she was knocking on locked doors, as her interests were already committed elsewhere, she also wished for more screen time. Hyeon-woo felt embarrassed watching his clips and wasn’t shown much during the get-together.
