Does the ending suggest that there will be Bloodhounds Season 2? Let’s find out. Directed by Kim Joo-hwan, the latest Netflix K-Drama is adapted from a webtoon by Jung Chan and follows two fighters, who are forced to take on the world of brutal loan sharks. There are 8 episodes in total with a runtime of about 60+ minutes.
The show stars Woo Do-hwan as Kim Gun-woo, Lee Sang-yi as Hong Woo-jin, Park Sung-woong as Kim Myeong-gil, Huh Joon-ho as President Choi Tae-ho, Kim Sae-ron as Cha Hyeon-ju, Jung Da-eun as Oh Da-min and several others.
Will There Be Bloodhounds Season 2?
In the end, it is shown that Gun-woo and Woo-jin defeat Kim Myeong-gil and even take away his phone, along with all the slash funds that he was taking to Vietnam. Impressed by their braveness, Hong Min-beom decides to help in their cause of creating better facilities for people & in need, as it will also help in his image building. While he is celebrating that he has the phone with the video, but if we track back, Myeong-gil said that all the data was backed up in a computer/laptop.
So it would mean that a copy of the video still exists on a laptop somewhere, whose location is only known to Myeong-gil. Although he is arrested by Interpol and will be persecuted for his crimes, there’s a big possibility that he would come back again to create more damage.
Relieved after finally getting rid of him, Min-beom will certainly try his best to create a better footing in society by expanding his business etc. Thus, if Myeong-gil returns at a crucial point in Min-beom’s career, the stakes will be much higher & he will be much more brutal since he has lost almost everything.
Also, Gun-woo had a realisation of how they have become just like bloodhounds, hunting down enemies & serving them justice. They are not sure about their boxing careers anymore, thus, they could further pursue the same path by helping ordinary citizens out of other loan sharks’ jaws. Also, they will be taking care of the estates like the Orphanage, left behind by President Choi.
However, it is to be noted that no official announcement has been made by Netflix or the creators about the renewal. Depending on its reception and public reviews, there’s a possibility of another season but as of now, there are no set plans for it.
