Concrete Utopia Teaser shows a world where a few citizens survive a natural disaster. Directed by Um Tae-hwa and screenplay written along with Lee Sin-ji, it is an upcoming South Korean disaster thriller which is based on the second part of the webtoon titled Pleasant Bullying (유쾌한 왕따) by Kim Sung-nyung.
The stellar cast of the film includes Lee Byung-hun as Young-tak, Park Seo-joon as Min-seong, Park Bo-young as Myeong-hwa, Kim Sun-young as Geum-ae, Park Ji-hu as Hye-won, Kim Do-yoon as Do Kyun and many others.
It follows the story of the residents of the Hwang-goong apartment (literally translated to imperial palace apartment), who are the only survivors and the only standing building amid the disastrous earthquake which struck the city of Seoul. Among the residents, a few leaders will emerge who will do anything to protect the survivors from external forces.

In the trailer, we see Lee Byung-hun, who will play the role of Young-tak, saying that he feels like he has been chosen by this apartment to become the resident’s representative. He does not mind taking any risks to protect the apartment from outsiders and will show off his strong character. While glimpses of other residents are shown, trying to survive with whatever resources are available to them.
Another character named Geum-ae, played by Kim Sun-young, is heard saying that whether it’s a criminal or a monk, everyone’s the same in the face of disaster. Meanwhile, Park Bo-young will be playing the role of a nurse named Myeong-hwa, who is seen treating a teen survivor (Park Ji-hu), who tells her that it’s hell outside of the apartment premises.
The scene transitions to what’s happening outside, where all the skyscrapers are crumbling down and Park Seo-joon as Min-seong, is trying to reach his apartment which is the only standing building in the whole city. Min-seong is a public servant and thus he gets chosen by Young-tak to help him in protecting everything that’s left. However, apart from the natural disaster, there are struggles among the survivors that might take everyone down.
