Fake Profile or Perfil Falso is an upcoming Colombian erotic thriller series on Netflix, releasing this week. Created by Pablo Illanes, it is produced by Colombian studio AG Studios, with Federico Castillo, Silvia Durán, Cristina Echeverri, and Rodrigo Guerrero as executive producers.
The show’s plot explores the dark side of online dating, which many have been briefly known to. But what happens when someone decides to chase the catfish to the point of destroying their whole life? There will be 8-10 episodes in the series with a runtime of about 40-45 minutes.

The ensemble cast of the series includes Carolina Miranda as Camila, Rodolfo Salas, Lincoln Palomeque, Manuela González, Iván Amozurrutia, Víctor Mallarino, Mauricio Hénao, Felipe Londoño, Julián Cerati, Juliana Galvis and others.

Fake Profile Plot
Netflix’s description of the series reads: Camila meets her Prince Charming through a dating app. After an idyllic romance, she plans to surprise him — only to end up trapped in a false paradise.
After going through the struggle and disappointment of online dating, Camila didn’t expect to meet her ideal man on the app. Fernando is everything that she was looking for, from beautiful looks to personal values that resonate with Camila. However, the only problem is – everything turns out to be a lie. The name and profession of a plastic surgeon was all a lie it was another man that didn’t look anything like the one Camila had met. In fact, the person behind the fake profile is Miguel Estévez, who used his own face but everything else about him was a lie – including the fact about being single.
She then decides to investigate the man she fell in love with and who he is. Desperately, she finds the identity of the cheater and makes him pay for every lie and promise he made. However, Camila does not realize that she is entering an intriguing maze of deceptive appearances, forbidden sex and powers that kill. Why is Camila so invested in him, despite knowing his truth and what will be the consequences of their forbidden romance is what we will find out soon.
