Joo-ran feels something is off & his husband could be involved in Yun-beom’s death, so she tries to check the CCTV footage but it has already been deleted. Her suspicion grows & asks Jae-ho if she can accompany him to the funeral as well. At the funeral house, Sang-eun is reminded of the phone again and she turns it on to see its content. A number of messages and calls come, looking for ‘mom’ (presumably the phone belongs to a prostitute).

When she goes to the gallery, she sees a video of a man tied up in a room full of young girls & a man threatening him for trying to sleep with an underage. On further scrolling, she finds screenshots of Jae-ho’s article & a picture of him with a girl sitting on the floor. She puts the two together & sends a selfie of the girl from the camera roll with the message – you know who am I right? And that message is seen by Joo-ran.

Lies Hidden in My Garden Episode 2 Review

With just two episodes, the creators have laid out such an intriguing suspenseful story that one has to impatiently wait for the next episodes. The creepiness and the feeling of something wrong happening, raises goosebumps, even without much dialogue. Usually, one would expect a character like Sang-eun to help Joo-ran or uncover the truth behind Jae-ho & Yun-beom’s connection.

Unpredictably, she instead threatens him, although her motive behind it is unclear, she could be after the money that Yun-beom was seeking. Also, Jae-ho’s character is so creepy and unsettling to watch how he gaslights Joo-ran without any hesitation. Considering that. much more sinister secrets could be hidden about him.
