Lies Hidden in My Garden Episode 7 Preview brings a new facet to the surface as Moon Joo-ran (Kim Tae-hee) is seen giving 200 million won to Chu Sang-eun (Lim Ji-yeon). It could mean that she is trying to keep the secret behind Lee Soo-min’s death and her family’s involvement in it. However, she promises to give her the other 300 million won after the assigned task is done.
When Sang-eun isn’t able to interpret what task she is talking about, she asks her in a frustrated tone. Joo-ran replies that she is paying her to kill her husband, Park Jae-ho (Kim Sung-oh). Sang-eun asks her again if Joo-ran knows what she is getting herself involved in. It’s contract killing and she can be convicted for it.
Yet she asks for her help and the reason behind it is that she doesn’t want to remain a weak mother, in the eyes of her son. She doesn’t want her son to live in guilt for something that her husband did. While Sang-eun accepts her offer since she desperately needs the money. Her only advice to Joo-ran is not to get emotional over it later, as it will become a hurdle in her plan. They are just doing what’s needed, one can not judge it as wrong or right, since it’s the question of their survival.

Lies Hidden in My Garden Episode 6 Recap
In episodes 5 and 6, a conflict arises between Joo-ran and Sang-eun when they try to locate Soo-min at the motel. The guy doesn’t mention any link between her and Jae-ho, making Joo-ran think that Sang-eun was just trying to frame her husband for money. She even apologises to her husband for suspecting him but at the same time, Soo-min’s body is also found near the same reservoir as Yun-beom’s (Choi Jae-rim) body was found.
Affected by all the events, Seung-jae ends up confessing to her mother that he is the one behind Soo-min’s death. After not being able to trap Jae-ho in their scamming plan, Soo-min approaches Seung-jae as a school student living in the same neighbourhood and invites herself into the house. She shows a pregnancy test to him and shares that his father is the one who impregnated her. Worried about what might happen if this goes out, Seung-jae pushes her from the top of the staircase.
He seeks his father’s help and they end up keeping her in Seung-jae’s closet for the time being. It explains the thumping voice that Joo-ran was hearing in her house since Soo-min was the one banging on the closet door to be let out. Eventually, Jae-ho kills her by choking her neck and buries her in the garden. When Joo-ran digs up her buried hand while trying to find out the cause of the bad smell, he decides to dig her out and dumps her at the reservoir instead.
When Soo-min’s body is found, police contact Sang-eun and Joo-ran since they were the last people who were searching for her. They confiscate her phone from Sang-eun and question why she didn’t report it. They suspect that Yun-beom is the one who killed her and then took his own life out of guilt. It would mean that Sang-eun won’t be getting the insurance money and have to look for some other way to extort money. That’s when she gets her hand on Yun-beom’s phone and looking at the photos, she realises why the money amount increased to 500 million, as it involved Jae-ho’s son.
