Love Is Blind Brazil Season 3 Episodes 5 to 8 Review: Directed by Cássia Dian, the Netflix dating reality show has released further episodes where the couple move into an apartment together before deciding to walk the aisle. Camila Queiroz and Klebber Toledo are the hosts of the show.
The five couples that got engaged in the pods through blind dating and moved to the honeymoon were: Bianca & Jarbas, Valmir & Karen, Maria & Menandro, Ágata & Renan, and Daniel & Daniela. They spent some quality time in Pipa, in Rio Grande do Norte before moving into real life and introducing their new partners to their parents.
Although everyone was excited to live with their partners and have a sense of the kind of life, they can expect after marriage. One of the biggest additions to their love equation was the smartphone, which bring in some negative emotions to the overall happy vibe. One thing that is visible among almost all the couples is a nagging partner and it’s mostly the female contestants, telling the other to pick up the trash or clean up after themselves.
The other factor was jealousy, especially in the case of Agata and Renan. Agata seems like an anxious personality who wants to know everything about their partner. And Renan is somewhat of an avoidant type that would open up to someone when they feel ready. It’s understandable that the whole experiment is like a bullet train running at full speed, since they have to get married within some days but being pushy won’t help Renan to spill out everything. Meanwhile, Agata doesn’t really share her own personal experiences as much as she pries on her partner.
Even when she met his friends, the topic of previous relationships & how Renan is usually the submissive one, always agreeing with the partner came up. Although Agata was shocked to know that, she didn’t realise how he was always going with what she wanted & said, the times when he wasn’t on the same page, it made her angry. Somehow, he has found someone that’s similar to his previous experiences, with a controlling & jealous partner. One can also sense that Agata fears losing Renan, as he is a conventionally good-looking guy who can easily meet someone else.

On the other hand, the tables have turned in the case of Karen & Valmir. Opposed to how unserious he was initially, he seemed pretty down to get married to his chosen partner & is actively making efforts. However, Karen looks like she is reconsidering her choice and that comes out in sneaky remarks disguised as jokes. Real life with him might not be as adventurous as she had expected. Coming to Maria and Menandro, at first they were like a balanced couple with not many differences but Maria’s issues & co-dependency on her family are definitely steering her in a self-sabotage route.
It is like she is seeking some time of validation, either regarding her new partner or other choices, that nobody has given her yet. She can’t outright ask people about it, so it comes out as sad episodes or an argument about something silly. Probably she isn’t so sure about getting married to Menandro and needs someone else to intervene and support what she has in the back of her mind.
Strangely, Daniel & Daniela are connecting and adjusting to each other quite well. Even if there are differences, they seem to be making efforts to respect the other’s opinion or advice. Bianca & Jarbas were the first couples to get engaged and connect on a significantly deeper level. However, based on the image they might have created in the pods, the reality is turning out quite different. While dating someone, one doesn’t have to deal with how the other sleeps or keeps their clothes. But when living with each other, you are introduced to all the skeletons in their closet & that could terrify or change the other’s mind.
Even the other contestants are expecting them to get married but the difference in their personalities could become a factor in refusing to marry. Based on the latest episodes, Maria, Karen and Renan don’t seem to be ready to get married or have even realised what they are signing up for.
Love Is Blind Brazil Season 3 Episodes 5 to 8 Review
Not sure if it’s scripted or not but it doesn’t make sense why the couples are getting mad at each other for their previous relationships. They came on the show to connect with the person that they are today, yet the slight mention of previous relationships makes them run to the woods. Either they are making scripted conflicts for some drama or just don’t know how to communicate properly.
Love is Blind Brazil Season 3 is currently streaming on Netflix.
