My Perfect Stranger Episode 11 Recap/Review: The Culprit is Revealed

My Perfect Stranger Episode 11

My Perfect Stranger Episode 11 reveals the identity of Hae-jun’s mother and the real culprit who confused them. The episode picks up right at the entrance of the movie theatre, where Hae-jun (Kim Dong-wook) was waiting to see the face of his mother who abandoned him right after birth.

The lady sitting beside his dad was wearing a pink bow hairband and he was searching for a girl wearing the same. However, two people wearing the identical band walked out of the theatre – one was the owner of the teahouse and the other was Ko Mi-suk (Kim Hye-eun).

Hae-jun kept on staring at them in confusion and collides with a man passing by. Both the ladies come near him to ask if his okay and just then, his father also walks out. The confusion is instantly cleared when he refers to the teahouse owner as his girlfriend. After knowing the identity of the woman who birthed him, Hae-jun goes back to his usual life and tries to figure out the common links between the victims. It turns out that the killer’s note refers to women who read as dangerous & coincidentally, all the victims had a book among their stuff. Except for Kyung-ae as her stuff was missing.

While everything was going fine, one day the news of Mi-suk being a published author comes out. She had published a book named ‘Small Door’ and was getting media attention over it. Meanwhile, Soon-ae is shocked to see her novel being circulated as Mi-suk’s. It turns out that on the night of Kyung-ae’s murder, she must have taken Soon-ae’s novel with the stuff that she was going to drop at the abandoned place. There Baek Yu-sub and the assistant teacher were hiding from the authorities and Kyung-ae had promised to bring them some necessary things at night.

When Soon-ae confronts Mi-suk about stealing her novel, at first she denies all the claims but slowly loses her calm and tells her to shut up, if she doesn’t want to end up like her sister. This indicates that Mi-suk could be the one to actually kill her sister. While coming out of the storage, she encounters Yoon-young and further says that she didn’t like the girls who read and thought they were special from others. But now that she has tried the same, she can see the appeals.

While Yoon-young (Jin Ki-joo) convinces Soon-ae to reveal the truth about the book and takes her to the publishing house. There Soon-ae shows what she had planned as the ending of her novel and how she planned to take the story further. Seeing the genuinity, the publisher calls all the novels back to print them with the right owner’s name ie Soon-ae. The revelation turns out bad for Mi-suk as her mother gets angry at her & even picks up her hand. Mi-suk is seen meeting her brother in an alley, where we get to know that her brother used to physically abuse her but her mum turned a blind, despite knowing the truth.

Even on the day of the murders, she had gone to help her brother after he fell off the bridge. But instead, he beats her up when she accidentally holds his broken hand. While in the alley, he slowly gets unconscious as if someone had drugged him and Mi-suk checks if his hand is all healed now. She then walks to the police station and confesses that she has seen the murderer. It’s exactly what happened in the past, as Mi-suk was the one to confess against his brother being the murderer.

My Perfect Stranger Episode 11 Review

It’s clearly evident that Mi-suk was the one to kill the people but now that her author’s dream is shattered, it could mean that new murder could happen in rage. Once again, Yoon-young pursuit of justice for Soon-ae created more unexpected variables that are yet unknown but could hamper everything. Meanwhile, it seems like there might be more to Hae-jun’s mother’s story and she might not have actually abandoned him but became a victim.
