See You in My 19th Life Episode 3 is titled ‘The Agony of Parting with the one you love’ where Ji-eum (Shin Hye-sun) ponders over the pain that her loved ones felt on her death, in every life.
Seeing Seo-ha (Ahn Bo-hyun) feeling so down after visiting Ju-won’s grave, Ji-eum (Shin Hye-sun) tries to uplift his mood by confessing her feelings for him endlessly. He doesn’t take them seriously but does get distracted from the blue feelings.
As they were making their way out, a truck passes by the car, which reminds Seo-ha of the accident and gets a panic attack. Ju-won’s family also holds a memorial ceremony for her at home. After seeing how Seo-ha still hasn’t gotten over her death and has been suffering on his own, Ji-eum contemplates her previous life.
Especially her 17th life, where she was Ae-gyeong’s uncle, who died of an illness. Ae-gyeong was only ten years old and had nobody else after her uncle’s death. Looking back at it, both of them get emotional and try to console each other, when she is reminded that Ju-won’s death anniversary falls on the same day as Seo-ha’s birthday. She runs out in the rain to his house and as soon as she sees him, she confesses that she likes him. Followed by a flashback from 18th life, where Seo-has had asked Ju-won if she likes him & she replied that he will get the answer on his next birthday.
However, seeing Cho-won walk out of his home makes Ji-eum anxious. She wonders if they are dating. Seo-ha sends Ji-eum back and within a few minutes, he also asks Cho-won to leave as he doesn’t celebrate his birthday and her presence is bothering her. On stepping out, she sees Ji-eum still standing there and gives the cake to her instead.
Ji-eum directly asks her if she likes Seo-ha. Cho-won (Ha Yoon-kyung) doesn’t answer the question but asks her back – will she step aside if she likes him? This puts more suspicion in her mind & she wonders why was she reborn so early, was it because her life was cut short before the intended time?

On the other hand, Cho-won doesn’t give up & applies for the job of landscaper with an alias. While Seo-ha tries to get investors with his uncle’s help, Do-yoon encounters Ji-seong on his way to the investor meeting. He tries to embarrass him by saying that he is Seo-ha’s driver/assistant and is trying to climb the social ladder through him, as he comes from a poor family. He further makes fun of how his father died when he was a kid and even breaks his phone. But Seo-ha overhears it all & puts Ji-seong in his place by calling him trash and pouring the drink on him.
The next day, an unknown woman changes the flower in the hotel lobby with the same ones that Seo-ha was bringing in his hands. It makes him wonder how can someone bring the same flowers that are quite rare to find. He even asks Ji-eum about it and just then Cho-won enters the office for the interview. Seeing her again, Seo-ha lashes out at Do-yoon and this breaks her heart. She runs out with tears in her eyes and Ji-eum goes after her. Seeing her little sister like that, she asks her out for dinner and tries being like a friend to her.
Cho-won shares about her crush, which Ji-eum thinks is Seo-ha. But as she gets into the details, it’s revealed that Cho-won like Do-yoon instead. This clears the misunderstanding among them & Cho-won also shares about her sister Ju-won, who still ruled Seo-ha’s heart and mind.
Meanwhile, he is concerned about what happened in the office and decides to give her a visit. Ji-eum also brings drunk Cho-won back to her parent’s house, where she gets emotional about seeing her mother. Even though she was hiding, her mother catches her and asks if he had come here before. Despite not saying anything, her mother realises that it’s Ju-won who has come back like she had promised and they share the moment, crying in each other’s arms.
Seo-ha also reaches there after much hesitation and sees Ji-eum hugging the air. It was all Ji-eum’s imagination about reuniting with her mother. And she accidentally calls Seo-ha by his name, just like Ju-won used to. Towards the end, we also get to see how Cho-won and Do-yoon met for the first time.
His dad also died around the same time as Ju-won’s accident & saw Seo-ha at the funeral house too. They somehow ended up in the same school, where one-day Seo-ha asks Do-yoon to give an umbrella to a girl, waiting outside the school. It was Cho-won waiting for Seo-ha in the rain but encounters Do-yoon instead. That was the moment when she fell for him while handing her the umbrella.
See You in My 19th Life Episode 3 Review
While reuniting with her mother would have made a lot of things simple for Ji-eum, it was too good to be true. However, Cho-won seem to have caught on to something and things will only get clear, as they will meet each other again. In the preview, Ji-eum’s brother seems to be back in her life, from whom she had run away and might cause trouble just when things are going her way.
