Street Woman Fighter 2 is back again to bring some fire performances on the stage. The dance reality competition will broadcast in the month of August on Mnet, with the recurring host Kang Daniel. This year eight teams will be competing against each other to win the trophy of the best street dance group.
For the first round, the teams were paired in the group of two and performed the same songs with their created own choreography. Titled K-pop dance match mission, they were given songs from the big 4 entertainment agencies in South Korea. Based on the number of votes from the public and the views along with likes, their initial public ranking will be decided.
Street Woman Fighter 2 Dance Crews
Jam Republic
Part of the Jam Republic Agency, which helps the global dance community to find professional work & to learn from the best talents. They have 21 different studios based out of 23 countries and thus making them the first foreign/global dance crew to enter the competition. The members include Kirsten, Ling, Latrice, Emma and Audrey. All the members have competed in international competitions and would make a strong contender as well. In the first round, they danced to Hybe’s songs which included LE SSERAFIM’s Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard’s Wife and BTS’ DOPE. They are competing against Mannequeen for the K-pop dance match mission.
Mannequeen
Mannequeen consists of Funky_Y, Buckey, Waackxxxy, Redlic, Yoon-ji and Cera. They also danced to Hybe’s song mix against Jam Republic Crew. The team seem to be expert in Waacking style and even member Yoon-ji is featured on Street Man Fighter. She was a part of the Muse of SMF mission and performed with Team Eoddae.
Tsubakill
Tsubakill consists of all Japanese members including – Akanen, Sayaka, Miki, Momo, Yumeri and Rena. Most of the members are known worldwide for their skills and many viewers have also seen member Momo Koyama on Street Dance of China. They danced to JYP’s songs – ITZY’s Not Shy and Stray Kids’ MANIAC, against dance crew Bebe.
Bebe
Bebe consists of Bada, Lusher, Tatter, Kyma, Minah, Cheche, and Sowoen. Among the members, Bada Lee seems to be most known to the public for choreographing EXO Kai’s Rover song. She is also known to have performed with Stray Kids Lee Know during his backup dancer days. They are competing against Tsubakill for JYP’s songs dance mission.
1Million
1Million might be one of the most known dance crews among all with popular members including Lia Kim, Amy, Dohee, Debby, Redy, and Harimu. The male team also participated in the Street Man Fighter and showed their years of experience on different stages. With Lia Kim being in the team, it could be another Prowdmon’s Monica moment as she might have also taught dance classes to many other contestants on the show. For the K-pop challenge, they performed YG’s songs – BLACKPINK’s Shut Down and G-Dragon’s COUP D’ETAT, against Wolf’Lo.
Wolf’Lo
Wolf’Lo is a hip-hop dance crew consisting of Halo, Babysleek, Chocol, Mini, Yeni Cho, and Haechiwang. They also performed on YG’s songs for the K-pop dance challenge against 1Million. Looking at their dancing style, the viewers expect some memorable dance battles to come out.
Deep N DAP
Deep N DAP consists of Mina Myong, Downy, Soll, Locker Zee, Minny Park, JJ and Gooseul. Among the members, Mina Myong was associated with 1Million for a long time and even created choreographies for Jay Park. They performed on SM Entertainment songs – aespa’s Next Level and NCT 127’s Kick It, against Ladybounce dance crew. Both the songs have a popular signature step and the viewers found their new choreography fresh.
Ladybounce
Ladybounce consists of Nob, Vessi, Biggy, Naro and Capri. The dance group has won many street battles and was part of the Feel the Rhythm of Korea dance campaign video with BTS. They also performed SM Entertainment songs. You can also follow the group on Instagram here.
