My Perfect Stranger Episode 10 resolves some issues for Yoon-young and Hae-jun but also introduces some new ones. Once Hee-sub (Lee Won-jung) gets out of the inn, he refuses to go to the hospital and wants to go back to his brother.
However, Yoon-young (Jin Ki-joo) is determined to get him treated so he doesn’t end up with a limping leg permanently. While trying to persuade him, a van full of reporters stops near the inn alley and we get to see that Hae-jun (Kim Dong-wook) actually tipped the media, about how the police are torturing student protestors.
He tells Yu-sub to send his brother out and stall the time for 15 minutes, as the reporters will reach the room by then. As predicted, their arrival sends the officers on their way and Yu-sub is rescued by Hae-jun, along with Hee-sub to the hospital. There, Chairman Yoon also turns up and he is referred to as senior by Yu-sub, which means he could be in on the protests as well.
Now the focus of the duo lies on the third victim who was regarded as a runaway and her body was never recovered. She was Kim Hae-hyung, the classmate who bullies Soon-ae and always seems to be following Mi-suk. While Yoon-young once again brings up Mi-suk and how she should be their main suspect since she even told her about the third victim and what she was going to write in the novel. But Hae-jun doesn’t think so and brings another perspective on her life.

Actually, Hae-kyung’s mother runs a bar frequented by their homeroom teacher. Both of them have a relationship of sorts going on and Hae-kyung is certainly unhappy with it. When one customer tries to get handsy with the mother, the teacher beats the man up, not knowing he is one of the student’s father & the rumours about the mother and the teacher’s affair start going around. On hearing the rumours, Hae-kyung starts a fight with the girl saying the ill words but gets stopped by the homeroom teacher. In anger, Hae-kyung badmouths him as well & he slaps her in the spur of the moment.
This leads to Hae-kyung running away from school and when she sees that her mother has once again made the Kimchi soup (which the homeroom teacher likes), despite telling her to make seaweed soup, she decides to just pack her bags. Knowing what was about to happen, Hae-jun catches her right when she was about to leave the house forever and makes her pick up the letter back. He takes her on a short trip nearby so she could calm down and makes her understand her mother’s perspective – how in the future, her mother keeps on looking for her missing daughter for years. Fortunately, she goes back home safely.
On the other hand, Yoon-young takes Soon-ae to the hospital so that she could meet Hee-sub. For the first time, she witnesses the special bond between her parents which made them stay together despite all the arguments and fights. Also, Hae-jun’s dad starts working on the time travel car and one day he runs out in a hurry when realising that he was late for his movie date. In the flashback, it was shown that Hae-jun’s mother left him & the village after giving birth to him and when he asked about the collected movie tickets, his dad said that he watched with his mother.
So to figure out who his mother really is, he follows him to the movie theatre. Since they were sitting in front, he was not able to see the face of the lady, who was wearing a pink bow hairband but waits outside the theatre. There the tea house owner walks out with the same hairband. This leaves Hae-jun surprised but just then Mi-suk also walks out from the theatre, wearing the same hairband. Now the question remains, who is his real mother?
SUMMING UP: MY PERFECT STRANGER EPISODE 10
Even after reaching the tenth episode, there’s absolutely no hint about the real culprit. For some reason, it does seem like Mi-suk might not be the real killer and it could be someone whom we have never noticed before. Now the mystery behind Hae-jun’s mother is also in front of us and it looked like the tea house owner was the one sitting beside his father.
