Will There Be Ready Set Love Season 2?

In Ready Set Love episode 6, we see that Valentine was able to escape the authorities successfully and contacts Day. With the help of city ground, she also rescues May from Eve Capital’s care and brings her to a safe location. Now having no obligations, Day, Son, Paper and Almond once again come together to expose the reality behind ‘The Farm’ and the corrupt world they live in. Day does her best to win the final competition against Chanel and the gentlemen help Valentine to hack into the crew’s server.

Although Day doesn’t win the final game, she decides to do everything in her power to bring light to the truth. She expected Chanel to choose Son and then they could expose the rigging, but when she ends up following her heart and chooses to marry Max, it gives Day another chance. Before choosing Son, she gives a speech about her life and what’s happening around them. Valentine supports her words by showing all the secret footage she took of confined mothers. At the same time, show producer Jenny also decides to help the city ground by not pulling off the broadcast or arresting them.

As soon as Day ends her speech, a protest breaks out with symbolic fireworks everywhere. Amidst the stampede, Day, Son, Paper and Almond run to the parking to escape with Valentine. But Almond refuses to come with them, he feels guilty about betraying them to Jenny and also feels unsure about his future outside of the farm. Ultimately, Valentine reveals that they are siblings and his mother has been looking for him all this time. Yet he decides to stay back and the other members drive back to their safe place. We also see Jenny & her partner making their way to the city grounds, to bring their son there. The credits roll with a leap of 4 years, showing Day and Son happy together with a son of their own.

Ready Set Love Season 2 Still 3

In the mid-credits, there’s another scene where Ms Kwan has finally located Son and Day. Her assistant gives her a bunch of photographs as proof. Along with Day’s family pictures, there are pictures of Son’s dad, who was presumed to be dead when they tried to escape the farm. But the current pictures reveal that he is actually alive and has been living in hiding. It would mean that there are many more secrets that Son and Day might be unaware of.

Although the creators of the show haven’t officially announced about renewing the show however if Ready Set Love Season 2 was to happen, there are many possibilities to explore. Since Ms Kwan has tracked the escaped individuals, she would likely try to get her revenge. And now that Day also birthed a boy, the government might try to abduct him to the farm. They might crack down on the rebels, making them look for a new haven, away from all the controlling powers.

Another addition could be her relationship with Son’s dad. Why is she looking for him all this while and what could be his role in everything? Could he be the founding member of City Ground or another rebel, planning to take on the government? There are still many questions that need an answer, most importantly because the world hasn’t changed in general. The story could lead in the direction of changing the world at large, where families could live together regardless of their offspring’s gender. Despite no confirmation as of now, the mid-credit scene tends to make one believe that there’s more to be uncovered.
